How to play Gundam Card Game
Everything you need for your first battle: Resources and Levels, pairing Units with Pilots, and breaking through Shields.

The basics
The Gundam Card Game from Bandai brings mobile suits and pilots from across the Gundam series into battle. You build up Resources to deploy Units, pair them with Pilots, and attack. Break through your opponent’s Shields and Base, then land a final hit to win.
Card deck
Your main deck of Units, Pilots and Commands.
Resources
A separate Resource deck powers your plays.
Shields
Protect you from attacks until they’re broken.
The card types
Units
Mobile suits that attack and defend.
Pilots
Pair with a Unit to boost it and add abilities.
Commands
One-off tactics, some of which can also be used as Pilots.
Bases and Resources
Bases protect you; Resources set your Level and pay costs.
How a game plays
- Set up by drawing your opening hand and placing six Shields from the top of your deck, plus your starting Base.
- Place a Resource each turn. The number of Resources is your Level, which decides which cards you can play.
- Deploy Units and pair Pilots with them.
- Attack your opponent or their rested Units. Attacks on your opponent break their Base and Shields first.
- Win by landing a hit when your opponent has no Shields or Base left.
