Prime 1 Studio presents Godzilla vs. Shinsei-maru from Godzilla Minus One, a diorama statue in the Ultimate Diorama Masterline: the chase off Ogasawara, recreated nearly a metre wide.

Godzilla Minus One, directed by Takashi Yamazaki, portrays a nation suddenly confronted by a monster and the ordinary people who fight back. After sinking warships, Godzilla heads towards Japan, and under government orders the small minesweeper Shinsei-maru sets out to slow him down. This diorama is inspired by that chase, one of the film’s major early set pieces, at around 98 cm wide.

Godzilla’s full body surges through the sea, sculpted in dense detail for viewing from every angle, with eyes gleaming with moisture and skin painted in contrasting tones above and below the waterline. Splashes and bubbles follow the movement of his body. The Shinsei-maru is rendered with equal care, from its weathered wooden hull to the crew fighting back with machine-gun fire and mines, cutting a broad wake as it turns sharply away.

The Godzilla Minus One themed base evokes a seabed of steep rock formations, with Godzilla’s body flowing naturally into it. A Title Logo Plate is included and can be placed wherever you like.

Choose the Regular Version, or the Bonus Version, limited to 350 pieces, which adds a Deep-Sea Fish Display Model: a fish distorted by rapid decompression, an ominous sign of Godzilla’s approach.

Display It in a Moducase

At 98 cm wide and 54 cm deep, Godzilla vs. Shinsei-maru is too wide for single cases. It fits a Moducase Max140 or Max140 Plus, whose 136 × 66 cm interiors leave room for the Title Logo Plate and the Bonus Deep-Sea Fish beside it. The DF120 (117 × 56 cm inside) also fits, but with only 2 cm to spare front to back. Moducase panels are not UV-protective, so we recommend keeping your display out of direct sunlight.
